Can anyone shed anymore light on these creations please?

I've seen some very appealing photos on Facebook but can't seem to find out anything more!

Does anyone have any info please?

Cheers
J

A Facebook link might help?

A quick Google shows up that he is / was one of the Throop balliffs, and that his reels (including side-casters) were / are a long way from cheap - I found an image of a tidy-enough looking aeriel-type reel, but it was fairly generic; nothing particularly unusual about it - and evidently they were / are made to order, rather than available from stock.

I'd still be interested in a Facebook link though - can't seem to find anything there.

Pure curiosity Chavender - any more info or links? To be fair, the reels in your picture are more appealing than the reel i found, marked as an Aerial Longcast; quite similar to the reel on the left, but with a perforated inner face to the spool, and anodised the 'wrong' colour green.

he makes a few different models (the ones above are the "tradition" i think ,he makes a swivel aerial as well ,i know he's on facebook as i've made enquiries (obviously ,they're centrepins) but strangly as a reelmaker he's not very communications savvy  ,but did get a reply ,and told he makes batches and sometimes might have one or two left over ,still holding my breathe  just in case .but i'm not sure i'll be lucky though

from the pictures i've seen most of his reels look exceptionally well made ,some to order (the green swivel aerial that comes up on google is a few years old (i remember seeing it on FM) and i think orded that colour .

besides the tradition theres a few models ,with options like side lever or rear button and vintage pateana or coloured .

swivelling aerial - these can be any of the current aerials just with a swivel foot mechanism (i've no picture of current model this old green )

"tradition" - loosley based on a double ventilated vintage allcocks aerial ,multi perforated spools

"match aerial" based on the allcocks match aerial ,simular too a free spirit in looks but better and has a rim lever.

"Twynham" a nice aerial based loosley on a allcock aerial but has a rim lever and bp line guard with perforations to both flanges of the spool

he only makes them in small batches ,and he's not easy to contact (derr he makes centrepins ,all centrepin makers are hard to nail down .e-mails /texts are a foreign language) He has a facebook page but i can't say if he checks it regularly .
