River Ouse Clubs

Recommended Posts

I was just thinking about the River Ouse and wondered if you guys actually fish it or could recommend a good club to join.

I'm really only interested in venues with a head of Barbel and Chub that I can get to within easy reach of Essex (lazy eh)

probably your best bet would be vauxhall angling club, they have a lot of river with good barbel and big chub in it

I think i may be able to help here,,, Just for once

I've fished most of the upper ouse and up to about 4 years ago i was on the Vauxhall angling

club commitee.

Clubs that control stretches of the ouse are

MK anglers

Northampton Nene

Bedford

Vauxhall

Ampthill and district

buckingham angling

Which club you join and all are open to everyone depends what species you want to really target

Buckingham stretches have some huge perch

MK have adams mill (think its been beat now but this is where the british record came from)

and the one i know most is vauxhall (i can name the pegs lol)

big barbel big chub

lots of pits with big bream /carp and tench

and a few cats

if you want to know anything specific just ask.

everytime i catch a fish i'm lucky when i blank i'm a hopeless angler.

Thanks for the help guys, now I have some idea of clubs I will do my homework.

I am going to join MKAA next year, as I fancy another crack at the Ouse. They have a couple of great stretches that I have fished before but some years ago. Adams Mill is on the MKAA book but it is a syndicate stertch, numbers are limited to either 40 or 50. There is a long waiting list and the added cost of £350 for the year is not cheap.
