Fisherman, I think you know the answer to that question already and are just trying to embarras me :D:D

No seriously, it was Gillespie and Gibbinson who won, partly because they pulled more strokes than we did, but mainly because (sob sob) they caught more fish than us other two teams.

 

It was certainly an experience that I would not have wanted to miss, but not one that I would want to repeat.

 

However, if the public viewers liked it then all the suffering was worth it :)

Just had a phone call from the BBC re my email to them suggesting either a re-make or re-run of The Fishing Race, it is apparently being considered by a commissioning editor of BBC2 (re-make) and the schedulers of BBC2 (re-run).

 

So if you want to see Fishing Race back on our screens get your emails going in now. You can send to info@bbc.co.uk and it'll find the right people.
