i'm about to join a club water with a good head of pike in it that allows all year round fishing

i want to know when i should stop deadbaiting for the pike and move to other methods .

i see on this site that deadbaiting in the summer months is not reccomended .

I'd save pike for the winter when nothing else (except chub) is worth targetting! Wobbled deads are good in the warmer months though, especially around dusk on a warm day...

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

past april, i too use lures only, except when zedding where i mainly use lives,i catch pike but normally at night when temps are much lower :)

dont use deads in warm weather, pike pick em up and wolf em down in high temps, its not worth it

surface lures are more fun!!:)

Pike are best alone from 14th of march to 1st of october like they used to .

Let them spawn in peace and give them time to recover.

In the summer pike need to be handled carefully .

If you still want to fish at this time it is best to use lures.

There are plenty of other fish to catch during that time when pike are best left alone.
