My local Lidl still has a pile of £6.99 bite alarms.

Did anybody buy one when they first came on sale and if so are they any good or has the fist exposure to rain killed them ?

Used mine for the first time yesterday, a few weeks after getting it. It worked fine but the battery compartment cover comes off very easily. Hard to see it keeping out any water! Some duck tape might be in order here ;) p.s. the volume/tone controls are very good. Gotta be worth a try at those prices.

Bleeding heart liberal pinko, with bacon on top.

Ken, my "4 alarms and remote and 5 batteries" are still working fine despite two drenchings (7 hours of wind and rain today) and at least two days of sun!!!!!!!!!!! I have fished 14 days with them so far :)

Only £39.99 for the set, if you can still get them, most places seem to have sold like hot cakes.
