Reel upgrade for a beginner

Hi, I have just upgraded from my first reel, and after extensive searching I chose the Airflo STX for £69, it comes with 2 spare spools so floating, inter and sinking are covered.

 

I like the reel, and can not say anything bad about it, looks good too.

 

They come up on ebay for less than you can get them in the shops.

Thanks for all your input. I've just purchased a BFR Lamina 95. Apparently it's an Orvis Rocky Mountain in all but name. someone bought someone. don't know which way round. Same price as the GRX but I thought the retrieve was much smoother, the Greys felt a little stiff and a smidgoen heavier though i did like the drag set up. I also played with the Vision Koma. What a gorgeous reel, though 20quid more and £20 a pop for a spare spool, my skills and time to dedicate to those skills couldn't justify it yet.

 

The BFR comes with 2 spare spools, so like Emmasdad, got float, inter and sink lines covered. So without trying it out in anger, i'm pleased that i got the right mix of economy and quality for my ability

 

So bear with me as i can see myself asking for more advice over the months to come.

Bloody Hell! I thought they(Orvis) were based in Bath. How wrong can you be. My box proudly states 'Made in China'
