hi peeps looking for a good quality make of telescopic rod for holidays something that will handle double figure carp but not too expensive any ideas ???

dragon carp £16 each or two for £20 +£10p+p choice of three one being telescopic nice rod & up for the job, worth a look.

Don't do it.

If you buy a tele, you'll hate it 'cause it's top heavy and it'll inevitably let you down at some point.

Go for a multisection rod like one the heavier Shimano Exage or Beastmaster spinning rods.

They're actually way to long to be a decent spinning rod but they'd suit you for general heavy float or light lead fishing and will handle big fish with ease.

Mate of mine had Mahseer to 25lb on one without to much trouble.

Completely agree with Ken, go for a multi piece rod so much better than a telescopic and they make everything from Baitcasters to Beachcasters, Fly rods to Float rods, funnily enough though they do not do a decent leger or tip rod.

Strange that. Their spinning rods are to long for most spinning aplications and they don't make a decent rod for freashwater bottomfishing. It does make you wander exacly what these highly paid product designers and consultants actually do.
