weird visual effects

In bright light, some of my snaps come out all psychedelic - water is dayglo purple, grass is dayglo yellow or whatever, massive contrast all over ... like some 60's hippy wall poster ;) (no, I'm not on anything). Fuji finepix A205S.

Any clues?

Are you shooting with sunlight directly entering your lens?

 

Can you post an example shot for us, and/or let us have the exif info?

Are you using a lens hood ?

sorry folks - been eating curry and drinking all day

the sun is not *directly* into the lens, just shooting in the bright direction is a prob, sometimes, and not always ...

 

 

that's the back garden. the grass is purple but the shrubs come out greenish

 

bad eh?
