Any Yakkers around Land's End?

I'm on holiday for almost 3 months at the beginning of July and I plan to head down to Cornwall for 1-2 weeks, almost immediately, as I usually do, before all the kids break up. This is where I first had the idea of Yak fishing and I can't wait to check out the section of coast from Mousehole to Cape Cornwall, where I have only previously fished from the rocks and surf beaches.

 

I would welcome either meeting up with or getting advice from anyone local-ish or anyone else who's planning to be down there at the same time. I usually camp near St Just, as I have friends living there.

Great! What are the plans for the w/e? I've just picked up my new Palm Cag, so looking to sea test it, along with new rod and reel. (What about your clutch?)

 

The tope trip sounds like fun. Do you think I would cope with a large fixed spool beachcaster reel on the Fladen? Otherwise, I can just fish for other species.

The FS on the Fladen should be fine. Suggest loading with 15lb line. Good allrounder.

 

Don't worry about the clutch will sort it out later.
