Which Reel?

Having owned both Shimano and Daiwa Baitrunners I'd say there's little to choose between the two manufacturers, it's a matter of personal preference. The Shimano's had better line lay but the Daiwas lasted longer.

I'm wondering whether to trade my Emblem BRIT's in for Shimano Biomasters at the moment, the only difference seems to be the Shimano's have a longer spool, the diameter is about the same. Does anyone reckon that would make any difference to the distance I could cast?
