Sounds right to me. Well done everyone - if I'm stuck in the desert with a lot of bananas I'll know who I'll wish was with me!

 

I'm puzzled, though, Dan that you set the question but didn't seem to know the answer without some calculation. Had you just made it up!?

 

Nah not that clever!! got it from a selection which didn't have answers, funilly enough have just checked and if you google it there a number of permutations of the same problem. Ditto the ball bearings, which I havent finished yet and dont want to cheat!
