Sounds like a bankside BBQ in the makeing. There'd be a decent feed on a couple of dozen 6 - 9" critters.

Probably a better option than introducing some US crayfish munchers like Small Mouth Bass or Channel cats - although with the number that were sold through aquarists a few years ago, the cats will establish soon enough.

 

BTW: I heared that my nearest local population is the lake at the NEC to the south of the city.
