For anyone who is a little unsure on using full manual control or even aperture/shutter priority on their camera, here is an online exposure calculator to play with.

You can set it for varying light conditions etc, to give you an approximate setting before you leave the house. It could be usefull for instance if you going out to phoograph a firework display but dont have a clue where to start setting your camera.

And another fun little thing to play with, set shutter speed and aperture and take the shot. Then see how it comes out.
