Help On Catfishing?

Hi All

New to the forums so bare with me if im in the 'wrong place!'

Iv searched the internet for some tips on catfishing as my local water holds quite a few up to about 25lb. I usually fish for carp there and last season had a go for catfish, after the one night session i realised i hadnt the foggiest what im doing! so the time has come again i feel to go for those cats but this time wanted to go a little more prepared. ANY information on catfishing would be much appreciated, particularly rigs, tackle, bait etc. Its quite a small water in the middle of a forest, so is quite silty on the bottom with quite a lot of snags, a few lillies and quite a lot of open water, at one end that is. The other end has more lilles, fewer snags and a gravel bottom, again with quite a lot of open water. Again any info would be great as im in the dark on catfishing at the moment!

Double 22mm halibut pellets soaked in salmon oil worked for me in France so dont see why not here too
