Fished it a few years ago (with floats tactics rather than my familiar lures) and found it to be fairly hard going. Depth averaging between 5 and 8 feet fairly slow with gudgeon and the occasional good chub.

For preferance, I'd fish the Tame - not a joke. It holds some good fish.

Species caught in 2020: Barbel. European Eel. Bleak. Perch. Pike.

Species caught in 2019: Pike. Bream. Tench. Chub. Common Carp. European Eel. Barbel. Bleak. Dace.

Species caught in 2018: Perch. Bream. Rainbow Trout. Brown Trout. Chub. Roach. Carp. European Eel.

Species caught in 2017: Siamese carp. Striped catfish. Rohu. Mekong catfish. Amazon red tail catfish. Arapaima. Black Minnow Shark. Perch. Chub. Brown Trout. Pike. Bream. Roach. Rudd. Bleak. Common Carp.

Species caught in 2016: Siamese carp. Jullien's golden carp. Striped catfish. Mekong catfish. Amazon red tail catfish. Arapaima. Alligator gar. Rohu. Black Minnow Shark. Roach, Bream, Perch, Ballan Wrasse. Rudd. Common Carp. Pike. Zander. Chub. Bleak.

If you go on the Tame, take plenty of insect repellent. The blackflies can be bad enough to put people in hospital at this time of year.

A couple of years ago, a dozen or so people arrounf Kingsbury got so badley bitten that they needed hospital treatment and it made the local news.

It's a bit better in the autumn.
