fishing the new pier west bay! any good?

as hembo said, float fishing & hand lining only off the end of the east pier. havn't bothered since they opened it. i regularly fish the harbour for mini species, polllack, whiting, flatties etc. bass do come in there as do mullet in the summer ( not caught one there yet though.

 

you can cast out further than the end of the pier from the beach, plus you dont have to worry about the boats coming in & out. mind the submerged breakwater where the cliff starts though. species off beach, mackerell, gar, bass, gurnard, pollack, whiting. sole & weever fish.

there is an appeal leaflet for the fishing jetty in west bay watersports, it shows a group of anglers fishing the old pier, i am the one sat in the middle.
