The sea can be dangerous at any time but at night time it is especially important to take care and ensure you are properly equipped with suitable clothing including life jackets and lights.

Yes it certainly is, and for anyone that thinks different, well I dont fancy thier chances, though it is a sad loss of life esspecially at that age and for the families you have to be prepared for every circumstance and to be honest some of the numpty's I've seen out there shouldnt be aloud on the sea let alone a kayak.

I'm just surprised it hasnt happened more often, lets hope it doesn't and this serves as a lesson to somebody.

I know that sounds a bit harsh but we all have to learn that the sea and good old mother nature need to be respected, be prepared and kit up correctly.
