for those interested i have recently purchased Yozuri lures on ebay from a nice guy in dare i say Guernsey (sorry donkey land) great value and excelant service half the price of the shops. well impressed and yes the magnetic balls do make them cast easier and further. whish i had magnetic balls.

Took your pollock lures with me to Ireland but the weather didn't let me fish them. It was howling a gale and casting a fly was out of the question - I debated whether or not to try saltwater dapping though!

 

I'll give them a swim down in plymouth next weekend.

Been too busy with work & family. I'm just back from a few days on Mull with the kids and just to rub my nose is it there were calm seas and sunny skies every day around Lochaline.

 

I'm just starting to organise a trip for the 1st weekend in Sept.... and don't worry, if it goes well you'll all hear about it

Bummer - 1st & 2nd I am at a kayak symposium with the Duo and Skua doing demos. Then on the 3rd it is Travis Perkins Driver of the Year - photography job, can't afford to turn it away.

 

4th & 5th Windermere doing a feature on traditional char fishing with an old stager and his 100+ year old boat etc.

 

6th Chichester Harbour - feature on the council's RIBs for RIB International.

 

7th & 8th i weather holds Dave Barham the new editor of BFM is coming to have a go for conger, tope, polllock and bass at a location that will remain very privilidged. His first time on a kayak - 30lb conger would be good now, wouldn't it!
