Having cropped Johns photo as I did and I'm glad he didn't mind, I do have to say that when I crop photos I try really hard not to lose that aesthetically pleasing standard 'postcard' shape, if you know what I mean. Like the side of the photo being 2/3 the length of the top of the photo as in your standard 4" by 6" photo or 8" by 12". If I crop off the side I try to crop the same width off the top as well, which is of course usually not possible as is the case in the above photo.

 

Does anyone else feel that you lose a little something when you change that 2/3 shape? Sorry for not being able to describe this very articulately.

 

By the way John, do you realise it is your turn on the Editing Game?

I hate getting up early, I didn't even realise there were two 6 o'clocks in one day!
