I try to keep it local as much as possible - before the local dissapears and I cannot get maggots or last minute bits and bobs

I try to always buy from my local tackle shop, however they only stock the odd ready rig and a few select bits n bobs for carp fishing. If i'm looking for something a little more specialist i have to use mail order.

You should ask your local to get the items you are after. They can only say no, and then you can go mail order. Give them a chance first.
