pike fishing

i have been intrested in catching pike for a while now but have not got a clue how to i was wondering how i go about learning i much prefer to be shown than read how to as different books give different ideas i stay in glasgow but do a fair amount of fishing at loch earn and loch rannoch any advice would great

Good for you for asking advice :) You're too far north for me but hopefully someone will volunteer to show you the ropes. Alternatively, maybe there's a PAC club near you?

Hi

I am a bit further North than you and usually go fishing for Pike on the Lochs around Aviemore on Speyside.

If you get up as far as Loch Rannoch then a trip to Dunkeld could be on the cards. There is a very good pike fishing venue there. It is a bit pricey at 30quid a boat (2 anglers) but a good chance of a double figure fish.

I have just been looking at Loch Fad, Isle of Bute, which isn't a million miles from Glasgow.

I am definitely going down there before much longer. Have a look at some of these.
