lads week the week that was or in some cases wasn't

Yep, certainly had a good time even though the tope didn't play ball.

This is the kayak ready to go at Terally

The tides around there and Drummore were absolutely fine in the yak, no problem at all, the Mull is something else!

Nice to meet you guys, Santcher & crew, and the tack4's (Hi Kyle, just remind me again who got the biggest doggie in your house?). I'm sure I'll be back sometime as the area has so much potential, I even saw another yak!

I was surprised at how many anglers and boats there were, every other house seems to have a warrior in the garden, and every beach had at least 1 angler on it.....but that is probably just a reflection of the good fishing available :)

Not fancy joining the "madhouse" next year ff2? my caravan is full but there are other vans to rent on the site and other places to stay in Drummore.

I am sure you would enjoy the crack

In fairness to Spike, I took my lads, known good sailors 9 miles offshore and trust me the conditions were wild. Andy had already indicated that he suffered from the Mal de mare. It would have been wrong to take novices that far off shore in force 5's wind against tide. The other boat had plenty of Pollack to 7 pounds on the first visit to the reef and had a nine pounder and several 7 pounders in the afternoon.

I ended up with 5 Tope to 39 pounds. Basically your reason for not hitting the Tope was purely down to the weather and the fish being offshore.

Looks like everyone had a great time, wish I could have made it, but with the sore leg and all of the work I just couldn't get away... oh well there's always next year.

Off to Budapest tomorrow so might not be about for a few days.

Great pics too, I will have to get down there... soon :)

I've been to Scrabster... and I want to go back!!!

David.W as you say there is always next year. My van is fully booked NOW

Will post up my date for next year asap. We actually caught loads of fish, not bad concidering we were wrecked for most of the week.

As I have said before the site owner does rent out vans and now allows camping as well.

Once I get a firm date will start a new thread

"Snatchers week 2006" and put up as much accomodation info as I can get my hands on.

Try and be part of next years David,it is a roar and the fishing is good as well. :)
