After a lot of tinkering I realised that the thing sat inside the foot well and not on top :headhurt:

With postage from HOOK1 USA it cost approx £40 which is quite a lot for what it is, but if you dont want to drill holes or spend time making one yourself (Which would probably cost about £15) its a quick solution.

Please excuse the washing up....it was cold in the garage and so I invited the Yak into the kitchen

I will field trial it tomorrow and let you know how stabe things are but first impressions are OK

Nice one Blobby - unfortunately a lot of our gear is overpriced for what it is - that bar does look up to the job though.

Is that a Garmin GPS mounted on the bar? What do you make of it? Looking at getting a chartplotter for chrimbo - seen one similar to that (Garmin 276C) which I'm interested in (shame the charts are so expensive - must be where they make their money).

Lat/Long :- N50°58.366 W001°26.468

I must go down to the sea again

To the lonely sea and sky

I left my shoes and socks there

I wonder if they're dry?

Just a few more shots of the Johnny bar in action.

YD & SMan

The GPS is an old Garmin 3. It should be water resistant according to the label. Its quite basic but it gives the usual info speed, heading position etc.

s2....I got your request tried to mail you back hope its worked. I will take the photos and mail them to the adress you passed on.

Certainly looks good if you don't want to drill holes in your kayak :)
