pole advice

I'm looking for a 14.5 or 16m pole which will be used mainly for far bank work on my local river. It doesn't need to be a carp bagging pole - the target species are roach and big chub. Price range £500 to £1000. Any opinions

Thanks

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

I've seen a Maver M27 new for £800 pounds. But it's advertised as a "multi-use" pole. I don't want a multi use pole. What I had in mind was something akin to a 16m version of the super-slim Daiwa Tournament Pro 8m whip. But I doubt such a beast exists....

P.S. Sorry for the delay in replying - BT dropped my internet connection for 4 days.
