Laptop/Notebook ?

Hiya, Just a wee query...Whats the difference between a Laptop, and a Notebook ????? Seems I bought a notebook, after telling the assistant in the shop, I was after a laptop.....

I didn't know the difference either.

 

Bought the missus a 'notebook' for Xmas.

 

Had a play about with it, then stuck it up in the loft.

 

I've been working away since Monday and was worried sick the fog/damp might of damaged it. Seems OK though.
