well the rigs in the post, now the problem..........any one got ant ideas where in a freelander i could fit it?|

bare in mind i dont want to drill any holes any where.

any suggestions :thumbs:

I've still got my NATO 2000 somewhere, and a few 46Mh sets that we used a bit.

 

There was a taxi firm in yeovil using the 46Mh sets for a time until they got busted. We could here them in Weymouth (c30 miles) quite well.

Do Freelanders have a center cubby box?

My Rangie and S3 had them and that's where mine fitted.

What type of ariel mount are you going to use?

chubbie box? is that the box betwen the seats with the lift up lid?

 

mag mount ariel.......

i want a quick test and as i aint played with one for ages could i connect the rig to a caravan battery in the house with the red and black wires to the + & - ?

Yes and yes.

 

Don't key up though cos if your SWR is out you could damage the output TX's

 

 

Geez, Wish someone had said, I just gave away a Swar meter !!!!! Used to leave it fitted, get the optimum swar then !!!! :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

not then but i have done in recent years i used to drive an old mack with a wooden floor
