ray at reculver...KENT

has anyone nay information on fishing for ray at reculver...i have never fished for them before so can someone shed some light....

 

also is there any othewr reports as to whats about at the moment in kent

I assume you mean Thornbacks and Stingray, both can be caught at Reculver.

I phoned Ron Edwards tackle shop a couple of days ago, and the reports were very poor, hardly anything being caught. I fished Hythe yesterday, and although there was a nice brisk Westerly, a coloured sea, and very low pressure, all I caught were three small Pouting and a tiny Dab!

It is absolutely dire.

You will need an onshore blow before you fish Reculver, not much good otherwise, but that applies to most places. Even then, I wouldn't hold your breath.

Too right... Do you have any tips for Reculver and locally (all species) from the shore?
