Which Prowler?

Well, EBay sales are doing me proud and soon I'll be in a position to buy a friend for my Tobago. :clap2:

I have found a retailer who is doing the P13, P15 and the Elite all for £499.

Now I think I can squeeze 15ft into the garage and weight is not an issue after handling the Tobago

I am undecided as to which to go for, I keep asking why get 13 when 15 costs the same ' Does size matter?

Then again the Elite at 14 9 carries more load and is supposed to be drier.

I am 6' will the leg room in the 15 cramp me and does the Elite have more leg room?

The 13 is more manoeuvrable but tracks less well....

It would have been easier if there was £50 between each model but at the same price it's a nightmare.

HELP!!! :wallbash:

Tobago is staying family and grandson love it.

i'm 6ft and weigh in at 217lbs and have no problem fitting in the elite and have found it to be an excellent choice, the one thing i would suggest if you buy one is don't bother with the eckla sit on top trolleys that fit into the scuppa holes as the fit on the scuppa holes under the seat is so tight that getting the kayak on and off is an absolute nightmare i scrapped mine recently and have wisely invested in a new c-tug which is a piece of cake to use by comparison.

I would choose between the Elite and the Prowler 13, the fifteen's cockpit is smaller and given your height this will probably be noticeable, like you say not an easy choice, I'd try and get a paddle in both and then make your decision.

Having owned/used both the P13 and P15, I really don't think there's much in it. I'm 6' and have had little problem in either. I paddle/fish a fair bit with Musket (P13) and compared with my P15, there really isn't much in it over the shorter distances (<3MILES). But to be honest it's not easy to gauge, and so what if you're 10secs behind the lead boat.

I only own a P15 due to leaky P13's at the time of purchase....but that's another story..which has now been sorted by the way :).
