how do you set these feeders up?

hey could someone help me, ive just bought these feeders and i am new to carp fishing and im not sure how to set them up... here is the link of the feeders i bought

First, remove the elastic then feed your mainline through from the narrow end to the wide end of the feeder and attach a swivel and then attach your hook length to the other end of the swivel.

 

In that way, you have a feeder which in the eventr of a crack off, doesn't leave a carp towing your feeder around and risking its health.

 

I hate the elastic type feeders with a passion.

so when i run my mainline thru shall i have a shot or 2 further up for when the feeder snaps back when a fish takes the bait

No need for shot on it, you want it to run back, especialy if the feeder got snaged, the fish can still keep pulling your mainline out, so it is a safe setup, and like an inline lead.
