I would go for a big fat lob.

On the drop.

Try changing floats.

Chub most def do get wary of the regular floats.

 

Try a freelined lob

if the water is clear, and you can see the chub, ive always found that freelined baits rolled along the bottom work best, if you need too use an overdepth plain quill or something as a bit indicator incase the line runs out of view.

 

big lob worm or a slug are fantastic.
