our "pet" mouse lived in a bird box in the summer then retired to a hole in the ground .

when i filled up the bird feeder i left a little pile for the mouse by his hole, his hole has disapeared due to a very rare mole visit (never seen one here before)but my mrs spotted the little bugger helping himself ,the pics poor being taken through double glazing to get it but he is revealed for all to see ,my mrs is now watching it to see where its living now :D

update theres two!!!!

yesterdays entertainment was a squirrel heading across the field with next doors nut bag! ,hey its entertaining to us were old!

weve put up 3 more bird boxes due to the demand from non birds on the other two so they have a nice choice of houses!

so long as they stay outside we tolerate anything but theres death on swift springs and blue pellets should any venture in the loft or sheds

Has he got wings?

I also see the trees that block your satelite :)

thats north facing the front gardens tree is closer ,its not ours and craftily has a bt pole up its center so can't accidentally fall over.

it jumps across from the little branch ,unfortunately as our garden is so open moving the feeder even 6" further out results in no birds as they are scared of the bird eating birds who turn them into feather piles .

we had a fat ball on our washing line post for 3 years until we took the blackened mess down the birds were too scared to go near it!

they also don't understand bread only the magpies and jackdaws are bold enough to venture onto the lawn even they are wary and its amusing to watch them take several nervous pecks (running off in between) before they get a bite ,a slice will stay for days
