Darth, a couple of questions, what time of the year, where from, what are the odds of even catching let alone a record?

Interested but need to know more please.

The Place has to be Whitby,Scarborough or bridlington

The time of year could be July to September

Will we catch ?????????? I do not no the plan is to land the first one for 60+ years

i think the odds are ok

Ps. I have had reports of swordfish wash up on the Yorkshire coast last week (sailfish or marlin could be one of them)

dose this help

newt once posted a link for a fantastic site which was www.worldwidefishing.com (I think). There were loads of tuna boats off the easern seaboard of the US, and I am sure the skippers would be happy to help.

Also, any time, I am up for that.

Darth,

There’s some interesting info regarding British tuna Fishing on this site: http//www.sea-fishing.com/uk/unusual/articles/tuna/shtml

I’ve always been fascinated with UK Tuna since I saw an old film clip of Edwardian anglers (I think) been towed around Scarborough Bay in there purpose built boats by very large tuna.

If it can be organised I’m up for an experimental trip or six next year.

Please keep me posted
