i think it is something to do with how the pellet break down or soomething, i have found that there is very little difference.

 

I seem to remeber Rob being able to give a better explanation.

Why?

 

Oil thickens when its cold,winterised oils are less likely to thicken,i dont know of any pellets that contain winterised oils.

Most cold water pellets have very little oil,less fishmeals but higher levels of wheatgerm,which is easier to digest in colder conditions

Also carp are not great at utalising the extra lipids when the water is a bit "chilly"

it tastes like burning
