SOUTH Yorkshire is set to be lashed by gale force winds, rain and snow when a major storm batters the UK tomorrow. Forecasters say winds gusting up to 70mph could cause travel disruption and uproot trees - and snow in the early hours of tomorrow could make the rush hour commute treacherous.

Winds are expected to pick up around midnight tonight and gust up to 65mph in towns and cities and even higher in exposed parts of the Peak District.

The county is also expected to see a spell of snow between 2am and 5pm, before it turns back to rain and eventually clears later in the morning.

The storm is expected to be so severe that the Met Office today issued an early weather warning for severe gales in the north of England.

And we're moaning cos its been over 35 degrees for the last 9 days and the forecast for the next 6 days is for 38--39 degrees

its classed as a record heat wave for us and its not a record we want to break in a hurry either.

my mind not only wanders-- sometimes it leaves completely.

Avram Grant will be pleased!
