Has anyone been on Anglesey recently ?

Fortunatly for me i live there 5 mins walk from the beech and at the moment you can`t go wrong for bass.

I was on Penmon beach a week ago today. Great day. Only one bass out but a cracker, and lots of activity... try poppers in the fast currents as the tide is rising/falling...

I have found rag is the best for bass around here.I`ve tried spinning but just seem to get trout following it in but not taking it.

I'm a 100% "plugger" so know nought about bait fishin'... keep moving and keep casting... that's me... had some good success that way...

If you're minded... I suggest you ditch the spinners... and call in at the petrol station outside Beaumaris... talk to Malcolm... he'll put you right on the plugs to use locally...

Speaking of Malcolm at beumaris... Probably the best tackle shop ive ever been in!! ! Value for money is second to none, stocked to the roof also!

Yes i can thoroughly recommend Malcoms shop i often call in for bit`s and bats.

I haven't got a spinning rod just at the moment but i`m pretty sure the best way to catch bass on the beach next to me at least is rag on the bottom or float fish.
