The major differences between the old SLn0SH and the new new Sealine X SLn0SHV, where n=2,3,4, are;

The SH spool is made of graphite and the SHV spool is made of alloy.

The SHV spool completely disengages from the gears and runs a bit faster on the cast. It is slightly more likely to birdsnest for this reason but it does cast a bit further.

I have a 20 and a few 30's. The frames are almost the same on the 20 and 30, the 30 is wider to accomodate the larger spool but the 40 is bigger all round. I would describe it as a reel for big shore conger or a boat reel.

The 20 is about equivalent to a 6500 but the drag is a lot stronger.

How about the Shimano Speedmaster TSM-IV. This has been brill for me, and as good as any mentioned.

Pugs, i have a Shimano TSM2cfs that has seen better days, a tad noisy and not enough power.

 

I used it on a boat trip and struggled with decent fish on so it'll have to be retired to the shelf.

I use them for congering and they will happily lift boulders
