eyemouth and surrounds?

Anybody been up this way and had/seen codlings/mackerel yet,was thinking of a trip up shortly...cheers

Hi

Fished out of Eyemouth 3 weeks ago 75 cod between 11 anglers for 6 hour trip, no Mackerel showing yet. Going out from Eyemouth again this Sunday 19 June. Will post venue report after the outing

Cheers R22,hope to be that way soon,from the shore with big baits for red cod and hokkais for the maccy, it,s only an hour in the car so might have run up next week.it,s usually a fortnight after the boats are catching maccy that they hit the shore ,if the weather holds up...cheers again

Plenty mackerel off the boats this week, not sure about the shore though.

Codling showing at Granton Harbour - got a few yesterday on Rag. I'd imagine you'll get them from the shore at Eyemouth no problem mate.

 

Mackerel are starting to show from the shore. None at Granton yesterday but they're starting to turn up at Cockenzie. You should get them at Eyemouth.

Fished out of Eyemouth today 14 Codling between 10 angers for 6 hours. Pretty poor day and no Mackerel about.

Which boat Rob? Went out Thursday on North Star for 4 hrs, 2 codling, 3 macky, eight litlle coley and a scorpion fish. Slow at the moment

We always go out on the Clansman. It is actually a prawn trawler but its not too bad to fish on. The guys who own the boat are good blokes and know the marks very well, but for some reason it has gone very quiet just now.
