Yes it's been cold this year, but it's funny how some things are normal, and others aren't. For example, the crabs started peeling when expected, the trees have blossomed as usual, birds nested at the normal time, etc.

 

As soon as this weather settles down a bit, I'm going out after the hounds. Last year was a good year for them up here. I might have one more trip out for the Roker first though.

The Kent coast is as dead as a graveyard.

I suspect the persistent cold winds this May have kept the water temp down. May is colder than April this year. Usually a pre-curser to a blistering hot summer, I hope.
