It seems that herring keep in touch with other members of the shoal by leaking gas from their anus, the high pitched squeaks alert the other fish to their postion

I`ll say it before anyone else does. The fish with the most impressive `Burp`? It has to be the common skate. Loads of expelled gasses, sometimes accompanied by its breakfast!!

Ever heard a Cuckoo wrass when it hits the deck?

They inflate there bodies when in trouble (wedge themself in rocks) but when they hit the deck out comes the air, believe it or not it sounds like a Cuckoo :cool: Serious its true honest
