Hi Mate...ive fished alot in blackpool,i would say that one of the best places to try in off the gynn wall, ive had loads of fish from here,cod small bass,whiting,dogfish,thornback ray,ive even had weaver fish but be carefull how you handle these little bugger's......Also you could try rossal point same species to catch and also a good spot to try....Hope this help's

Thats great, thanks very much, I have a basic 12ft Ron Thompson Beach caster, with a large okuma spinning reel, and 18lb line. Would this be ok? what tackle, bait should i use. i am sorry but i am very new to fishing in blackpool, and fishing in general really, so i am not sure of all the technical terms, but if you could help that would be great, thanks very much,
