Hello Sharkbyte.

So what are they catching?????

If you mean what size bass are they catching ? I think pair teams would stand a better chance of catching more large bass than a single boat,
by "they catch what they catch" I ment they catch all sizes from tids up.
I fish to live and live to fish.

I was also under the impression that the winter pair trawl fishery caught mainly bigger bass.

However, the main argument used to oppose the increased MLS, in fact the same argument used by every sea fisheries committee in the country in their co-ordinated opposition, was that if our fishermen didn't catch 36cm to 45cm bass, then they would just all migrate down to the south western approaches to get scooped up by the French. They were obviously refering to the winter fishery.
