Good reading! I especially like the 'cheesy' grins! You know who you are
  11. I bought some from hook 1 thinking they were the right ones but they were too big Will get some 5mm metric tomorrow from chandlers Just thought would be prettier using the standard ones all round Nearlly finished kitting the p13 out... will post pics when completed

  16. What he really means is Simon and him could be mistaken as twins
  17. The only advice I would suggest is trying as many as you can before you buy! It comes down to personally preference IMO Yes the prowler 13 seems to be the best all-rounder but it is not as stable as the ocean drifter! I bought the drifter to begin with and it is an awesome kayak IMO as it is very stable and very comfy but for paddling the longer distances it is slow. I have now bought a prowler 13 as it is a better all rounder but if I had the choice I would keep the drifter too. If I was to upgrade I would get a dorado or a pelican. If you were nearer I would suggest trying both of my kayaks. hope this helps your decision
  18. TPW has done a simple and effective system on his kayak! It all comes down to personal preference really I am going to make my own holders up front hopefully, if i ever get around to it
  19. Gimbal Mount $23.99 Scotty Gimbal Mount to use with a Flush Mount Rod Holder
  20. They are the things that go inside the standard kayak rod mounts behind the seat they take any scotty product I am sure they are gimbal mounts, must check...
  21. I have got an Igloo marine coolbox to modify and kit out so I have bought lots of fixtures and fittings to do it. They always come in handy and are cheap enough! The trouble with rod holders is that there are so many options. I bought the powerlock ones and put in the footwell, however being a short ar*e I struggle to reach forward to put rods in. Would be better if i chop rod butt a little shorter I was thinking of getting some gimbal mounts and putting rod holders in them with a rod holder on coolbox when paddling decisions decisions
  22. I ordered lots of different clips and some bungee, always come in handy to tie everything down and make leashes very cheap. I ordered some spare nuts and bolts too Depends on how you want to set-up your yak really
  23. Hardware set E That is to mount in footwells or up front?
