  1. Cheers Phil, I'll have go after work. Perhaps take it to the garage and use their airline.lol. How the hell does it get inside the lens, I wonder.
  2. Hi, I have a Finepix 5000S and have recently noticed a small dark spot that appears on my pics. It only seems to be present when there is sky included in the shot. Any ideas as to what this may be amd how i can eliminate it? It's very annoying. Ta, Stoff.
  3. Rivers Chelmer and Blackwater
  4. Hi One & All What methods do you recommend for fishing rivers which, at the moment are pretty full and fast?
  5. Hi All Can anyone recommend a reasonable brolly (the type with side walls) for £50-£60?
  6. Sorry Chesters, you've lost me already.
  7. Hi all I may have inadvertently changed some settings somewhere and then got distracted by something and had to shut down and go out unexpectedly. When i returned i played a song track and now everything sounds as though it's underwater. I can't for the life of me remember what i did, but this is driving me crazy. Any help and advice would be very welcome.
  8. Thanks Elton Both articles very useful.
  9. Hi Folks I assume the idea of a marker float is to identfy the spot where you have laid a bed of groundbait. How is the float actually used? Any idea? Chris
  10. Just to get out there and relax as much as possible. A few fish would be a real bonus.
  11. Must get down to Halfords this afternoon.
  12. This is really good. I reckon i shall waste several hours here, damn you!
  13. I think they will win, but if they don't then surely the FA will have no option but to start looking for a new manager. After all, McClaren wasn't their first choice. Since taking over he has not improved the team at all and even as Ericssons no. 2, between them, they actually acheived nothing. Lampard has to be dropped in my opinion.
  14. It's a good idea. If you don't like it, don't go there. S.
  15. Is stillwater fishing in the close season generally frowned upon by the angling fraternity? I understand the reasons for the close season i.e. spawning etc but does this not happen in lakes, ponds etc?
  16. Thanks for this Spireite. What do you mean by a "knotless knot"?
  17. What is the best knot to use for joining a hair rig, which already has a loop in the end, to the mainline?
  18. Hi there one & all. Does anyone know of a good website that explains different ways of casting. I recently bought a carp rod & baitrunner reel and would like to gain a bit more knowledge on how to deliver the bait.
  19. Thanks Colin, thats really interseting especially as I'm almost certainly never going to be casting huge distances.
  20. Hi Can anyone tell me the difference and explain the pro's & cons between front drag, Rear drag And baitrunner reels. What does all that mean?
  21. hi Alan, Thanks for the welcome. I was thinking of using some kind of bite indicator, in the past I have used a thing which I believe is called a monkey climber.
  22. Thanks to all for the responses. I suppose i will be fishing rivers and lakes, as for size of fish well the biggest fish i have ever caught was in the region of 3lb. I know, not exactly a monster! I imagine i shall want to use a feeder of some sort,as thats what i've used in the past. Bear in mind although i have been fishing for many years i have gone whole seasons at a time without doing any fishing at all. Therefore i regard myself as very inexperienced, and now have a little more time on my hands and have a strong urge to take up the sport on a regular basis.
  23. I last bought a fishing rod over 25 years ago. I have to say it still seems perfectly ok to me though i expect a lot of you would turn your nose up at it! I am now thinking of buying a carp rod and with this in mind I did a little window shopping yesterday. I noticed carp rods priced between £30 - £180. I can't afford anywhere near the top end. Are the lower price rods actually any good and what should i be looking for in particular? I also noticed rods are available with varios "test curves" any advice is greatly appreciated.
  24. Thanks John for both the welcome and the advice. Stoff
  25. Hello all I'm not sure if a beginner is particularly welcome here, as i imagine most of you are experienced anglers. However i have several questions and i'll start with the first and depending on the response will either continue here or look elsewhere. When putting new line onto a new spool how full should the spool be. I have heard people talking about putting baking line on then the main line. What is meant by this please?
