hi there ?, fen is a magical water as you would know..its secrets are hard to crack..but every now and then it lets us ..see a little more.the lake record is held by i fish i caught..a lovely scaled linear of 48 .it has done another fish 3 years ago of 40.2 ..which i have pics of.we call him the big grey one.i have seen a common of around mid to upper forty..he hasnt been out yet..at that weight..we call him the stripey one.there is many in fen ..from wot i have seen a caught.it will be the place ..i retire too.hope you dont mind me asking ..did you catch any.maybe you would like to come and have a session.would like to know more of your knowledge fella. regards uncle jim KIR

mr m, i cast with 10 ft drops..picked it up from my sea fishing days..ian welch watch me cast it one morning ..when he came over to photogragh that 18 bream i caught from horton..he could believe how far i could cast this set up.thats why i said i puy bobbins on at night and make sure the alarm is set on sensative.they dont like it when they get pricked..caught fish to 44.12 ..this season on the set up. uncle jim KIR.

mr m, thats one reason why i changed to braided mainline..just before xmas..20 pound bullet braid..given to me by gary bayes of nashbait.fish it slack with 6 to 8 feet of slack line..34 ounce running lead..10 ft of esp leadcore..10 to 16 inches of 10 maxama as your hook length..size 8 or 6 super specialist..with the hairs between 1 12 to 3 inch..watch the lines ..its most interesting.some of the takes only pull the line tight ..with not even a bleep.put back leads on at night and put a bobbin on ..for indication..buzzer on senative aswell..hit anything. uncle jim KIR.

hi alan, the truth is out there fella..iam just bringing it to anglers attenions..the fishery owner should tell the truth..as he changes his stories like the wind.so let anglers make up there own minds and ask him face to face..watch his eyes.its a very sad thing for british carp fishing ..wots going on..all this foreign stuff coming in..with names endorsing it..catching them.i can go on but it really p.... me off. uncle jim KIR.
