  1. I would say that stren isnt the same as the daiwa line as stren is american and daiwa is japanese. Paul
  2. Big Game is a great allround carp line you won't have any complaints with this line. Also I hear so many good reviews about power pro Paul
  3. Had a fish drop off recently on a big T (just started using them)Not sure if its related but it does get you thinking. Paul

  6. What is considered a "medium action" rod We have fast action and through action, then I see terms like parabolic, compound taper, multi taper, semi fast, power progressive,I have a feeling that these are manufacturer terms.Any rod experts out there that can explain the differences. Paul

  8. Hi James If you decide to fish chigboro coarse/carp lake. When you enter through the gate keep walking to the right of the lake untill you reach the last island, theres a swim there which is really hard to cast from(over hanging trees)but its possible. Its been a while since ive been there but nobody used to fish this swim. And I always caught there, one off the island and one down the left channel....Good luck mate

  12. Elton Those ponds were the first place I ever fished I lived about 3 mins walk away.I too was there in the early days.Lots of Rudd and perch. Its where i had my first carp(1 1/2 pound)Also the brook (near the pipe)used to catch loads of dace,I saw the trout swim by but could never catch them.Few years back I fished the ponds and had a nice upper double, couldn't believe it! Paul
  13. Yeah I was from Greenstead did you fish the 3 ponds there(Salary brook)? As for the Mill I don't know if you can fish it or not.Haven't fished there since I was a kid. Paul
  14. The Mill was a great ol spot plenty people fishing it too.15 minutes on my bike and I was there.Bit of a dodgy bankside though, especially when the tide came in!
  15. Yeah I grew up in Colchester too,i know of that place not sure if it has a new name or not Wouldn't surprise me if it did.The river colne is full of eels.
