  1. very profitable for the resturant though, they give you a 20% discount off the menu price as the charge for cooking your catch

  7. that particular dab(not the one in the pic) is going to be used along with a few others in my quest for a shore tope, my mrs loves dabs but that one has a higher calling
  8. Fished the pier Sunday, lovely weather deffo the best weather I have fished in so far this year, didn't even put my jacket on, I arrived at 8:30 after having to return to the house for the maddies I forgot in the fridge. I was surprised at how quiet the pier was all day, there was a massive rip and some people were struggling Started off with a double shot codling and whiting 2 min into the first cast, lost count of fish today but it was well over 30, with numerous double shots. 4 species were had, 3 of them were ing's, Whiting, Codling, Pouting and Dab's unfortunatly bar 1 dab non were keepers bar a quiet spell between 12 and 2 it was a busy day with the rod tips quite active, the dab's were taking hard giving the rod tips a really good pull all in all a very pleasant day I fished the bottom right, bait was maddies or frozen blacks tipped with bluey or macky, I tried squid and sandeel with no success a few pics
  9. very good that had me in stiches
  10. No snow around my side and i'm less than 20 miles as the crow flies, there again I have the Guatemalan quick step group in my house LOL
  11. Mackrel have been hard to come by this year, this time last year in Swansea the shoals were massive, right up against the shore, people were jumping into the sea catching them in shirts. I had 5 decent one's in July and that has been it. On the flip side I caught my first triggers this year up to 2lb 7 oz and my first smooth hound
