Hi all,
Bear with me here as i try to explain my question....its a bit hard without a diagram.
Basically, i am just starting to get into the feeder fishing again, having not really used it for some time......i thought it quite apt to ask my question now because i will almost certainly be ledgering the river in a few days.
The rig i have been using for the feeder goes like this....tie a big loop in the main line, about a foot long(ie 2 feet circumference loop), then, about 6 inch from the knot(actually in the loop line) tie another smaller loop. Break the line after the new knot and tie another loop in the only free end. I attach the feeder to the first small loop i tied and the hook length to the last one. this makes all the lines fixed...ie not running.
What i was wondering, is, would it be better to do some sort of rig where the line is allowed to run, so that when the fish takes the hook, the line freely pulls through the feeder and to the rod tip....probably using a bead or something to stop the feeder running down to the hook when out of water.
I know that is hard to understand from text, but has anyone got a preference?
Ta.
