Catfish are the best fighters I have caught, the carp in the Ebro are great fighters too

Also depends where you fish, you cannot compare a commercial lake pike to a river pike, the commercials give in a lot easier. I don't fish for carp, the designer carp fishermen have lost touch with the sport. Give me a barbel on the Trent any day, better fighters than the pike and carp.

Budgie, I am too busy fishing the River Trent (had some great catches) for the next week or so, maybe I shall fish Bardney Lock next season now.

I am championing the cause of Bardney Lock, people would think the place is being over-run with fishermen, believe me this is not the case! Directions - If you are heading towards Lincoln, the Sugar Beet factory will be on your left hand side go over the Bridge, then after a few hundred yards turn right down a track, the sign says Bardney Lock farm....follow the track and catch a 30lb pike

A good product will always sell well, great price, good articles and I feel it retains the feeling that fishing is for the majority and not the minority like some specialist magazines......it is the normal anglers choice. Well done.

I always carry Klinic not only to ease my conscience but I like to give first aid treatment to any injured fish.
