Hi i'm looking to buy a new carp rod. Can anyone recommend one capable of landing 20lb+ fish for £100 but maybe a bit more? . I don't mind too much about casting range, the maximum i go is about 30yds Thanks

CAN SWEETCORN CATCH FISH IN THIS WINTER WEATHER

Last week i was fishing a single piece of corn right in the margin and in a hour i caught 10lb and 7lb pound mirror carps. I rate sweetcorn as my top bait and rarely use much else. -
5lb 12oz would be my best guess.

I fish on lakes in blake hall fishery, don't know the brand or BS of line as i had reel years ago. I use a size 10 swivel to tie my main line to the hooklength. It is usually my hooklength that knots itself into the mainline. My bait is single piece of sweetcorn on the hook.

Hi i need some help with my reel line. At the start of the day i will set up my rod and method feeder rig and the line is fine. But after about 20 mins the line twists and knots so bad that i nearly always have to cut it. Can i do anything to prevent this from happening?
