the reason i use size 16's is because i'm just kind of a newbie, and only go fishing on the canal and n ever catch anything big! i dont understand anything u said trent.barbeler, cus like i said i'm new to fishing! what sie slugs would u guys recoment using for the canal ? and how would i set it up ? the only other place i can fish is the river trent, but i dont usually go there as the current is so strong i have no idea how to fish it !

jeeez a size 2 hook, i only use 16's !!u lot are too good for me !

i am selling all my old toys, i have had em a few years, all are in good condition, i will sort out the postage to anywhere in UK so heres what i have : MicroMachines super van city w/ MicroMachines MicroMachines tool box city w/ MicroMachines MicroMachines battle tank military base w/ MicroMachines, boxed, instructions ^^^ the above 3 are fold up cities/base like this pic, but different cities : MicroMachines car wash city (small) w/ MicroMachines MicroMachines aircraft carrier w/ box and MicroMachines MicroMachines transport chopper w/ box and MicroMachines Action Man figures, 7 of, w/ extra outfits and guns figures are 11 inchs tall; these type of figures : Action Man jeep, big, with fireing missiles all things listed are in excelent condition ! and would make very good gifts for kids etc if u are interested in any of these, then either e-mail me or PM me or speak to me on msn ( csmaster_dave@hotmail.com ) just post reply here and we can arrange prices etc, ...as mentioned b4 i will sort out postage costs. thx

thx for the reply m8 all the marinas/turningareas are too far away for me...but thx anyway i will b using a match rod(carnt remember the size), or a 4 meter whip would love some nice roaches, rudd, bream, chubb etc.... so any more tips welcome !

geez, that is lucky ( and a bit of skill ) i went to a private lake b4 to fish for carp, i think they where ghost carps, and the lake was called 'the canal' cas it was shaped like it and it was VERY deep ! i gaught about 30 1lb ish carps in about 6-7 hours that was the only time i have caught carp, would like to catch some big carps .....
